Shut It Down for Palestine!

The Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine and its 48 member organizations join people of good will across the US to demand a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and an immediate end to US aid for Israel.  With civilian casualties topping 12,000 in Gaza and new information indicating that Israeli forces likely killed many Israeli civilians on Oct 7, we are well past the time for Genocide Joe to rethink his immoral strategies in Gaza and the West Bank. Biden has the power to change Israel’s direction. We demand action NOW!

As part of the national Shut it Down for Palestine campaign, at least 150 vehicles from the WI Coalition will caravan across Milwaukee on November 24. Colorfully decorated vehicles led by a digital ad truck will blanket the city with a message of peace and solidarity with Palestinians. Video of the caravan taken from a hovering drone will be available shortly after the caravan finishes.

The caravan departs from the College Ave Park & Ride where dozens of homeless reside in makeshift structures and vehicles. While the US spends billions on weapons to kill Gaza residents, our own homeless live in a parking lot without regular access to potable water. The WI Coalition will deliver water to the residents of the Park & Ride, while demanding that Israel end the siege of Gaza that left 2.3 million Palestinians without access to water.
